Canadian model Chantelle Winnie (her real name: Chantelle Young-Brown) is living her dream as Desigual’s brand ambassador for the Spring-Summer 2015 collection. The Barcelona-based brand first used her for a photo shoot to highlight its black-and-white collection last year, designed by Christian Lacroix:She was such a hit, Desigual decided to make her the face for its new collection this season:In a new Desigual video this week, Chantelle explains how she was ridiculed and bullied as a child because of her rare skin condition, called vitiligo:She once said: “A lot of people have a story or a background, but mine is painted on my body.” She first made a video about her skin condition in 2011 called Vitiligo: A Skin Condition, Not a Life Changer:She now describes herself as a “vitiligo spokesmodel.” Pretty unique.
