Angel has Naa Sheka backpacks, shoulder tote bags, yoga mat bags, duffel bags and waist packs. They are made by a women’s collective in Ghana, West Africa, using traditional colourful fabrics that are waxed to make them rainproof. Part of the sale proceeds goes to support a school in Ghana.
A Vancouver woman, whose name is Naa Sheka, is the founder of the Vancouver company, West Africa Fashion, that designs the bags. Her passion is to support and create jobs for women in Ghana and share the amazing colours of West African fabrics with the rest of the world. Below are samples of the bags available at Angel.
