We have a beautiful new bag by Desigual, called Saint Tropez Animal, which just arrived today at Angel. We only have one. And it’s exclusively at Angel.
The design is Berber-inspired with tribal metal detailing, hand-selected leather and hand-crafted quality. The price for this limited-edition bag is $584.
We have dozens of other Desigual bags, including some under $100. But the Saint Tropez Animal bag is truly one-of-a-kind in Vancouver.

Angel Vancouver is located at No. 2 Powell Street in the Gastown district of Vancouver, Canada. Our store is on the corner of Powell & Carrall Street in Maple Tree Square, where Vancouver began. The photo above shows what my store looked like in 1886.
Angel also specializes in hand-painted one-of-a-kind clothing. Here are two shirts I painted for a customer earlier this week:
Today we have a trio of new music videos by young women. The first is a new song, Go, by Vancouver’s Grimes:The second is by American singer Zola Jesus, who is originally from Wisconsin and is of Russian heritage; she performs in Vancouver on Jan. 10. She wrote and recorded this song, Dangerous Days, on Vashon Island in Washington State, just south of Vancouver. The scenery in the video is very similar to Canada’s West Coast:Z.J. recently tweeted that she found this cover by a seven-year-old “the most violently adorable thing I’ve ever heard.” Our third song is Water Me from the debut album by English singer-songwriter FKA twigs. Her real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett. Her nickname was Twigs but she added FKA (the initials stand for “formerly known as”) after another artist named Twigs complained about the use of the name:And just for nostalgia, here is a song from 1963 by French actress Brigette Bardot:
