There was live music, with a song written for “Wise Tom,” and bagpipes, of course. In the first video you’ll see an accordion player named Toddish McWong, who organizes Gung Haggis Fat Choy, which celebrates the Chinese New Year and Robbie Burns Day. There was good food (catered by Memphis Blues) and single malt. Tom was born in Kirkcaldy but spent many years working in the Hong Kong shipyards in the 1950s and ‘60s, which he said had a special place in his heart.
