Had enough rain? Here are some rainy day distractions….

Okay, so it rained heavily all day in Vancouver yesterday. And it wasn’t 97 degrees like it was in Palm Springs.

So here are some photos to brighten your day, which are from a new online all-digital art magazine, Installation, The one in the middle is a human sculpture using layers of paper stuck together, which can be pulled apart, as shown below.

The painting at the bottom is by Michelle Forsyth. It reminds me of this painting  (Mirror  113) by my friend Gary Lang — we both went to Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles in the 1960s;  the painting was shown in 2009 at the Ace Gallery. I phoned Gary this week to wish him a happy birthday. He’s a great painter, a good father and husband.Here is a film about his most recent paintings:
