These are a few of the new arrivals from Desigual, including a yellow-green jacket (left) that was originally a white jacket (below) that I hand-dyed, so it’s one-of-a-kind. It’s a size 42. The price is $264.

The slogan of the Bacelona-based Desigual is La Vida es Chula (Life is Cool)! “Desigual explains: “The slogan reflects Desigual’s way of thinking that is inevitably influenced by the Mediterranean, the sun, light, passion and a lust for life. A philosophy of life that reflects a way of dressing: fun, fresh, original and always instilled with a happy, playful and creative attitude. Be confident, don’t be afraid to be yourself.”
Today’s video is Keith Richards in collaboration with Roberto Luti, Titi Tsira and a number of worldwide musicians performing his reggae song, Words of Wonder, from his 1992 Main Offender album: The video segues into a cover of Bob Marley’s Get Up, Stand Up, featuring Keb’ Mo’, Mermans Mosengo, Aztec Indians, Natalie Pa’apa’a of Blue King Brown, and Jamaican singer Sherita Lewis.
The tracks will appear on Playing For Change 3: Songs Around The World, an upcoming CD/DVD set featuring 185 musicians from 31 different countries. This album is out June 17th, brought to you by Playing for Change.
