This is Karen, my cousin I didn’t know I had until she sent me an email inquiring about getting one of my handpainted Angel shirts. Voila, here she is wearing it at home in Ontario. She’s from my mum’s side of the family. My mother grew up in New Brunswick and was one of 13 children. Her family first came to New Brunswick in the early 1800s. My mother’s grandfather had fought aboard the same ship, the HMS Victory, as Lord Nelson during the Battle of Trafalgar, which defeated the Spanish and French navies in 1805. As a reward for their bravery, my mother’s grandfather and his navy colleagues were each given 100-acre land grants along the coast of New Brunswick, where they farmed and fished. My relatives still live on the property to this day. Karen, my cousin, was so happy with her handpainted shirt that she asked me to paint another for her. Angel specializes in handpainted shirts - I’ve been in business 43 years. My store is also Vancouver’s only Desigual Wow Shop boutique. She had been searching the internet trying to find this jacket in stock. It’s from 2018 and we happened to have one and it was her size. “I received the jacket today. I LOVE it,” she wrote in an email. “Thank you so much. I look forward to visiting Vancouver and your store sometime in the future (when this virus is behind us, of course)!” added Chrissie, who is a jazz musician. We also sent off a Desigual men’s swimsuit to Texas this week and another Desigual shipment to Calgary for a loyal repeat customer. Today we had a purchase of a Desigual denim jacket from this season, which we will be shipping to the Yukon, located in Canada’s far north. We have happy customers all over the world and we really do ship worldwide.
