Today’s music video is One Day in Your Life by Vancouver band 54-40:This song is from the 1980s; the video includes footage of places that no longer exist, like Seymour Billiards, a downtown Vancouver pool hall. Here’s another of their hits, Ocean Pearl:The band started out as a trio that included lead singer Neil Osborne, who’s from east Vancouver, and later included Darryl Neudorf, who co-wrote the song I Go Blind: The song later became a big hit for the band Hootie & the Blowfish:In the late 1990s, Darryl Neudorf sued Vancouver singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan and her record company, claiming he had co-written songs with McLachlan for her first album, Touch. Sarah performed in court for the judge, unplugged and under oath. Neudorf lost his lawsuit but went on to produce and engineer a number of hit records, including this recent one by Neko Case:
