Gastown will be hosting the second annual Yule Duel on Thursday Dec. 1 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.. It will feature more than a dozen choirs and singing groups along the sidewalks of Gastown. The top teams chosen by judges will then face a sing-off on the Yule Duel stage in Maple Tree Square.
This a charity fundraiser brought to you by the Gastown Business Improvement Society and the Bloom Group, the non-profit operator of May’s Place, a hospice in the Downtown Eastside that will be the recipient of donations raised during this free, family event.
There will be Gastown street closures from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday — on Water Street between Maple Tree Square and Abbott, Carrall Street between Cordova and Maple Tree Square, Alexander Street and Powell St. from Columbia to Maple Tree Square. For more info, go to gastown.org or yuleduel.com
